Can Sunshine Coast Connector shuttle transports bikes?

Yes, we do. Bicycles are allowed, but prior reservation is a must due to limited space availability. For more details, visit our baggage tab.

Do you allow pets on the bus?

Small size pets are allowed on the bus, as long as they are in the special pet carrying case and can fit on the owner's lap. And not causing any disturbance or discomfort to other passengers.

Are Sunshine Coast Connector tickets refundable?

If you purchase a refundable ticket, yes it is refundable. Non-refundable tickets can be exchanged but are non-refundable.  Non-refundable fares have no refund value. However, tickets can be exchanged for another date and time for a fee of $25 , exchange must take place 24 hours prior to the scheduled travel date. If exchange request is not made prior to scheduled travel date the ticket will be null and void. Tickets purchased the same date or less than 24hours of scheduled departure date are non-refundable and not eligible for exchanges.

I have a partially used ticket. How do I receive a refund?

A "partially used ticket" means you purchased a ticket and did not complete the trip prior to the final destination. Partially used one-way tickets are not refundable. Partially used round trip-tickets may be submitted for exchange when either the going or return portion is completely unused, a change fee will be applied. If both the going and return portions are partially used the ticket has no refund value. Non-refundable tickets have no refund value.

The bus was late. Am I entitled to a refund?

No. While Sunshine Coast Connector makes every effort to provide on-time service, it does not guarantee its departure and arrival times, which may be affected by any number of factors including BC Ferries, weather, traffic, or mechanical problems. Sunshine Coast Connector is not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such a delay.

The bus was late and I missed a connection on another bus line. Am I entitled to a refund of the other ticket?

No. Sunshine Coast Connector is not liable for the expense of connecting bus service missed as a result of a delay. However, you may wish to contact the connecting bus line for their specific refund procedures.

The bus was late and I missed a connecting flight. Am I entitled to a refund of the cost of my plane ticket?

No. Sunshine Coast Connector is not liable for any other travel expense caused as a result of a delay.

Can I get a refund at the terminal?

No. If you purchased a refundable ticket you may be eligible for a refund. You may contact us via phone to compete your refund. Purchased fares can be exchanged for another available destination or date. Exchanges must be completed 24hours prior to departure.

I lost my ticket. How do I receive a refund?

Sunshine Coast Connector is not liable for lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets.

I just learned of a lower fare available, but I already bought the ticket at a higher price. How do I receive a refund?

Fares are subject to change at any time without notification. Any refundable fare ticket can be refunded minus the cancellation fee $25.

I qualify for a senior discount, but I already bought the ticket at a higher price. How do I receive a refund?

You must be a senior at the time of booking a ticket for the discount to apply. Sunshine Coast Connector cannot provide refunds for discounts once the sale is complete. Senior discount only applies if a ferry crossing is involved. If you purchase a ticket off a driver, make sure he is aware that you have BC senior card so he may claim the discount at BC Ferry cashier booth.

I have a government Travel Assistance Program Form (TAP form) can I use it to take your bus?

TAP forms are accepted at the BC ferry crossings. Please present your TAP form to the bus driver prior to arriving at BC ferry Cashier booth so that applicable discount may be applied and the difference will be given back to you. TAP form MUST be presented before the transaction at the ferry occurs. 

I haven't used my ticket. Can I get a refund?

If, for any reason, you haven't used your refundable ticket or you decide to cancel yourconfirmed bookings, your credit card will be credited with the appropriateamount as long as cancellation is 24hours prior to the date of use, plus cancellation/change fee will be applied of $25. Cancellation done less than 24hours of departure are not eligible for refund or changes.

Non-refundable tickets are not eligible for refund, but may be exchanged to a different date prior to an original scheduled departure date, must be done prior to 24hours of departure.


Can I exchange my ticket for a different travel date or time?

Yes, however, an exchange fee will be applied. If the ticket is non-refundable departure date and time may be changed for a $25 fee per ticket provided the following conditions are met:

  1. Any advance purchase requirement cannot be violated.
  2. Applicable holiday blackout restrictions for advance purchase fares must not be violated.
  3. The time limit from the original sale date must not be violated. All transactions and travel must be completed within three months of the original purchase date.
  4. Exchange request is made 24 hours prior to the scheduled date of travel.

Origin and destination may be changed as long as the fare is the same as the original ticket fare in an exchange.

I'd like to change my destination. Can I do that without paying a fee?

Yes, you can but still required to pay the change fee. 

Can you take my group to camp, skiing, to a local attraction?

We can pick up your group at the location of your choice and take them almost anywhere. We go camping, skiing and most locations of your choosing. We do have some off road restrictions.

Does the bus have a washroom?

Unfortunately our buses do not have a washroom facility of any kind.

Is there storage for luggage?

Depending on the size of the bus used, smaller buses will have limited space for luggage. Larger buses will have more space to accommodate more luggage.

Can I take my bike on the bus?

Yes, you can. Our buses equipped with Transport Canada approved bike racks their usage is upon sole discretion of the passenger. Due to limited space prior booking is a must. It is the passenger responsibility to use/secure their bikes on our bike rack.  We assumes no liability for injuries, or for damage to bikes or personal property, while using bike racks. 

What if my bike gets damaged when using the bike rack?

You're responsible for properly securing/ loading and unloading your bike. Neither Sunshine Coast Connector Ltd. nor its operating subsidiaries are liable for any property damage or bodily harm caused by securing/loading and unloading of bikes.
